Art

My art pieces are never alone. They like to come in pairs and even in thirds. There are little ones that are alone, but if they are, they usually tell you a story that is more about who than what and why.

My dear friends who had the courage to describe my art say something like: "Ana, art makes you pull down your barriers and listen from a childlike heart."

When that Ana, whom my dear friend is talking about, grows up, she still makes you want to know more about the characters Ana talks about.

In Madrid, I experienced an explosion of art and an explosion of parties. Independence in an incredible city helps you experience more than you could imagine was possible.

These pieces in an A2 paper complete me; I was in the middle of my studies when a space opened the doors to me for exposure. I learned from a lot of mistakes I made and also learned from some certainties I had. Doing a specific piece for the expo was a big challenge and the right choice.

"Dalia," "Lucero," y "Sofia" are the party girls, that for one night, they get together and party all night long. They mix themself with the night, and you can only see them through their makeup. Because on top you can see them in the party environment.

During my studies in Madrid hand to hand in color class, I had a couple of assignments that are still now a day in my portfolio.

"Flower Hat" is one of them; the assignment was to do a bust in watercolor.

By the end of my studies in the Jorge Sefy workshop at ESDIP, I did this improvised comic piece in mixed media.

"The flower circus"

It is about a dream and how it may become true.

In the same workshop, I had the opportunity to go through a lot of mediums, and graphite was one of them,

"Clementina, look back at you," another improvised comic—this time in graphite.

Jumping to digital, here are some sketches of the final digital project.

"Food Porn X miniature people"

Complete a digital project about little scenes on food plates. In class, we worked for two months on my final project for my diploma in ESDIP, guided by Mr. Monroy, my digital art teacher. I made a significant career choice, and changing from animation to digital was a big drama but worth it.

The pattern of faces that are more Party girls. You can find this pattern in my business cards.

Last but not least,

A birthday card for my older sister. I love to personalize cards for any event.

These are ideas from my old work. It is where I am comfortable returning and moving forward with aligned working opportunities.

Open call for collaborations and commissions open.
