Artist Statement

I have been in love with the art world, I have always wanted to be an Artist.
Graphic Creation, my title, is a term that puts together my desire to create and experiment in the visual world.

First I dreamed of being an animation artist. Animation is the art of movement. It takes me far to a world where movement and easy-to-understand silhouettes of characters are the goals.

Later, my life took me to the world of illustration, and almost intuitively, I ended up in a comic class for three years of my career.

I did not consider this in my original animation curriculum. Looking back at my life, Comics and Animation have always been there.
Drawing is my desire, and stories are my fuel.
I enjoy the storytelling of the ordinary and quotidian moments in life with a touch of fantasy.
It is possibly this that makes my illustration relatable.
It may give you the feeling that it could be you, but it’s not.
Most drawings and sketches are built from an idea, a simple circle, line, or sphere. It is always the same beginning, the infinite white space, the name I give to an empty blank paper.
My notebooks or sketchbooks are my most prized pieces.
They guided my decision to be an artist.

My evolution is notable, while my style keeps being constant, but not the same.
Going through my art studies is a significant achievement and a step toward the progression of my work. It gave me the structural skills to build infinite worlds and stories.

Let’s create!
